Patty has been an active PTA member for 28 years. "At the unit level, I have held every position imaginable," she says. "Having five sons in public schools guaranteed that." Those five sons are now grown men, and two have married and made Patty Grandma Gorgeous to four grandsons.

Patty also served in numerous positions, including president, on Harbor Council PTA. At Fourth District PTA, she was Orange Leaves editor for five years, Workshop chairman for 1 year, and executive vice president for 2 years. She has served on the California State PTA board of managers as the local convention committee chairman for 2 years, and currently represents district presidents on the Legislative Action Committee, as well as serving as a commissioner on the Member Services Commission.

"Fourth District PTA has come a long way in the past two years. We have completely restructured our organization, and moved into our own office suite. After all this accomplishment, we are in a position to look forward and increase our service to PTA councils, units and members here in Orange County."

When she is not busy with PTA business or working at a small home-based desktop publishing business, Patty loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, sewing, gardening and traveling. She is active at her church, where she serves as the president of the women's compassionate service organization. If you're looking for Patty on a Friday, you'll have to go to the beach to find her...it's beach therapy!
