Last year Karin Mowrey had so much fun helping to set up the Fourth District PTA Reflections Exhibit that she decided to take full responsibility for the district program for the next two years. In fact, she’s so excited about Reflections that she’s also serving as the Reflections Chair at her local junior high and high schools.
Karin brings to her new position 13 years of PTA experience serving in numerous unit and council positions, including three years as unit president and two years as council president. During the past two years she did an outstanding as Fourth District Historian, carefully collecting and tabulating PTA volunteer hours from throughout Orange County.
Karin says her goal is to make sure that all students personally receive invitations to see their entries on display at the Fourth District Reflections Exhibit in January. “I also hope to make this level of the Reflections Program more consistent with the state and national levels,” she says.
Prior to becoming a mother, Karin worked 13 years setting up
programs and writing policies and procedures for a bank. For the
past 13 years she has been a full-time mother to her daughter,
17, and son, 13, as well as a very active volunteer. In her free
time, she likes to quilt and visit with friends and family.
